‘Sam has done wonders with my 11 year old over the last two years in helping him with his various academic subjects. He’s a great guy to have around and has become a real mentor and role model for my boy.’

- GARY KEMP, MUSICIAN - LONDON

Sam is one of the most inspiring and interesting people I have met. He works enthusiastically to help you in any way he can, and remains supportive of your learning and of you throughout this. He has helped me with my English Literature A Level, making me love a subject I honestly never thought I could, and provided useful advice for my Cambridge interview. He is like an endless fountain of amazing information, and I never tire of learning new things from him. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to unlock a subject in its entirety.

- RUBY RANSON, 18 - BALHAM. (SIDE NOTE, RUBY JUST GOT INTO CAMBRIDGE!)

Sam has been helping our son for about a year now. We have seen a vast improvement in our sons work since he started with him. Sam is a born educator. His manner is gentle and professional. He has been able to coax out of our son what he is really thinking and help him commit his ideas and opinions onto paper. Our son enjoys the time he spends with Sam, he makes learning fun. Sam has worked out how my son ticks and works with this enabling my son to process things in his own way. The relationship between pupil and tutor is more like my son having the big brother he never had.Sam has a way of teaching that doesn’t feel like learning more like a discussion between peers.Sam has taught our son strategies to help with his dyslexia.Sam has helped with most subjects making them fun and interesting, it’s not like learning at all! Sam is helping our son build solid foundations for his future.

- ANDY BARR, FATHER OF FERGUS - 14 - DULWICH, LONDON

Compared to past tutor experiences, Sam Wilson has shown immense effort during and outside our sessions. He focuses on teaching based on the best way suitable for the particular student by getting to know how they would deal with questions at hand. I have learnt from Sam not just how to answer a question but why the answer works giving me a greater understanding of the subject. His positive energy really keeps you focused on the lesson and it really does keep you focused and awake. Highly recommended!

KYLE AZZOPARDI, AS LEVEL MATHS - CARDIFF

We began tutoring our 10 year daughter old with Sam in preparation for year 6. After a few months of homeschooling, I was concerned that her appetite for learning was waning, but Sam’s online lessons are so engaging, inspiring and personalised that she looks forward to this online interaction. Sam is warm, funny and kind and we have been amazed at how quickly he understood her learning methods and personality. So when my eldest daughter came across a subject that she was not quite grasping at school, one lesson with Sam shining a new light on the subject, cemented her understanding immediately. I am sure Sam will be a great help as she embarks upon her GCSE!

- Sally Nash, mother of Violet, 10 and Madeline, 16 - Battersea

Sam helped me in ways that other tutors couldn't. He explained things in a manner that were easy to grasp. He made the lessons enjoyable. I recommend to anyone who needs help in Maths or English but he is also good at other subjects. I couldn’t have got into UCS without him.

- Clinton DeLeon, 14, moving from KPS to UCS London

Sam has tutored me in science, English literature and philosophy - I have found him very helpful, his teaching style is effective and he is also a very kind person. He is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met, and has extremely well rounded knowledge. Thank you so much for being a great tutor! 10/10!

-  Megan Harrison, 17, studies Philosophy, English and Classics A Level at Burntwood Sixth Form College

Really helpful, patient and punctual. A very friendly guy who taught very well and was used to teaching an adult learner. I would highly recommend him! 5/5

- Ricky Johnston, who has since passed his Mathematics Exam to enter the Metropolitan Police

Sam is a fantastic, engaging tutor with great subject knowledge. My daughter has made great progress in maths and science which has been reflected both in her exam results and in her confidence in these two subjects. I would highly recommend Sam as a tutor.

- Abi Hanna, Mother of 16 year old Eleanor at Chestnut Grove Academy

Since I have known Sam I have felt more confident than ever in my academics. When I didn’t believe I was good enough, Sam did. He supported me in difficult and stressful situations, encouraged me to go outside the box, getting the best out of me. At times, when I feel the pressure of school and other things surrounding it I turn to Sam and I know he will understand me and make it better. Every time there is something I don’t understand, I don’t worry anymore because I know that with Sam I will eventually understand it. I somehow owe my academic achievements and self confidence about school to Sam. He believes in me and sees the potential, bringing me to also believe that I can get through it!

- Alba Bracho Barerra, 17, Halcyon International School London

His Lessons are great.  The way Sam explained things makes the class very entertaining.  He uses really helpful notes and provided a really useful CV template.  Informative and easy to understand.  Would recommend!

Sara Hamida, Brunel University

Our son is home-schooled as he is in-between schools and he is thriving. As a teacher Sam is not only knowledgeable in the subjects, but also uses his drama skills to make the teaching engaging and inspiring. What takes a week to learn in school, our son learns in one hour with Sam.  Sam uses drawing, online resources, movies and experiments in is teaching. We can highly recommend S.W. Tuition to anyone who wants tuition that matters.

- Malin Lescieur, Barnes SW13

Sam is excellent at what he does and my 7-year old son absolutely adores him and is inspired by him. It is hugely helpful to have a positive male role model and Sam can do it all - from maths, reading, writing, sports - he even taught my son to ride a bike! I can't recommend him highly enough - a consummate professional with an energetic, thoughtful and patient approach

Jennifer Pence, Kensington W8

My 15-year-old did not do well in school and had no interest- having been at the bottom of the heap for so long, he had lost heart and confidence. Sam came along and changed all that in quite a short amount of time- he enjoys learning, has made leaps and bounds in his tutored subjects and actually does his homework on time as he doesn’t want to disappoint Sam.  My other son who is academically inclined, hit an A* in the subject Sam tutored him in. Not only all the above but he’s a thoroughly nice guy. A great find.

Flik Dennison, Dalston N1

Sam has a warm engaging style which immediately gives people confidence to open up and trust him. My 14-year-old daughter can be shy and lack confidence, but she is really getting a lot from the learning already. Sam is patient and clear with his explanations, using lots of visual drawings, and keeps checking that things have been understood before moving on. He loves teaching and it shows!

Sally Harrison, Mother of Megan - 15.  Balham, SW12

My background lies in design and I felt that my academia suffered and that is when I turned to Sam. We did one on one lessons over Skype where he taught me different strategies of how to analyze academic writing. My spoken English has also really improved.   Sam makes sure that you understand the origins of the words and sentences. I could compare the learning process with Sam to an operation- he will make sure you understand the whole anatomy of English language, seek out what is holding you back and remove it!  He is driven to make you an expert and is so positive. I am now studying my Masters Degree in History of Design and I feel confident and happy with my abilities. Thank you Sam for making this possible!

Sonia Birman, MA student at Goldsmiths

Sam has been tutoring Jordan for the past two months and we have observed a noticeable improvement in Jordan's work. He is friendly & takes a genuine interest in Jordan & his progress which encourages Jordan considerably.  We would definitely recommend him to others.

-Julie Dankaro, Maida Vale W9

Had a really horrible deadline with essay half done and the tutor went out of his way to fit in time to help finish the whole essay.  I wouldn't have got it finished in time.  He was really focused and to the point and helped me not to panic.  Gave me good tips for next time.  Highly recommend

Hugh Neilson - King's College English and Film Student

Our son had issues talking in class and reading aloud.  Sam has helped him a lot and is very kind with him.  We are still using him and our son is enjoying his time with Sam.

Mrs J. Hoffman, Mother of St. Paul's Year 7 Student

We got my coursework grades right up to A* with a few super-focused lessons.  Really pleased! :-D
